metaCarbon - carbon metamorphosis

Carbon fiber has undergone a metamorphosis at Vesvius.

MetaCarbon is Vesvius project that indicates the future, a technical-sustainable future with a low CO2 footprint. Carbon takes on a new life, that of the regeneration of disused fibers, which has nothing to envy to the main one. Carbon fibers are regenerated to obtain a non-woven fabric, made of 100% carbon, through an ISO certified production chain. A resin with very high mechanical characteristics is added to the latter, giving life to a technically reliable prepreg. We at Vesvius, using the same production process of the Advanced series, were able to give life to the FIRST FIN IN THE WORLD made of REGENERATED FIBERS with high mechanical properties. This recovery and reworking of the carbon fibers allow to drastically reduce in the production of CO2 compared to the production of a virgin fabric. The internal structure in continuous fiber, combined with the outermost layer in regenerated carbon, guarantees a powerful and decisive movement, ideal for those who practice snorkeling and freediving in shallow water.

With metaCarbon line, Vesvius also launches the #vsendback program for disused carbon fins recovery. Vesvius, in fact, undertakes to recover its customer's disused fins in order to send them into a correct disposal cycle of the material. When you decide to dispose of your Vesvius fins, you can take them to your trusted retailer, Vesvius will collect them for disposal (all costs incurred will be borne by us!). In exchange, you will receive a discount to purchase a more eco-sustainable Vesvius product such as metaCarbon or Vflax.

Our task at Vesvius is to make innovation a lifestyle! Our metaCarbon is a powerful, strong, and clear message to communicate to our customers our care for environmental protection and respect for nature. CO2 emissions and waste reduction, enhancement of resources, and establishing in others a growing spirit of environmental protection, these are our values and in which Vesvius believes.

Vflax - our green perspective

Sometimes technology and nature seem to follow different paths. Climate change is one of the greatest problems of our century, so why not to change ourselves by proposing sustainable alternatives with a lower environmental impact? Green alternatives exist and they are technically second to none, they are also designed for niche markets.

We at Vesvius want to make our know-how available to merge technology and sustainability, aiming for superior performance and captivatingly designed fins. We at Vesvius want to tell you that all this is possible and that we have made it with Vflax, the FIRST FIN IN THE WORLD in FLAX FIBER, technologically advanced, exquisitely eco-friendly, designed for shallow-sea freediving and snorkeling fans. 100% developed and produced in Italy, of course, using our cutting-edge technology from Formula 1 world. Flax fiber is extracted from the bast or skin of the stem of flax plant, it is a very fine, soft, flexible, and resistant fiber. The nature, composition, and architecture of the fiber give linen exceptional properties, comparable to synthetic fibers. Extraordinarily resistant and capable of absorbing every little vibration while swimming, our innovative Vflax gives lightness to legs during movement and therefore a unique comfort.

Our task at Vesvius is to make innovation a lifestyle! Our Vflax is a powerful, strong, and clear message to communicate our customers our care for environmental protection and respect for nature. CO2 emissions and waste reduction, enhancement of resources and establishing in others a growing spirit of environmental protection, these are our values and in which Vesvius believes.

Vjeans - fashion swim

What if we tell you that we are able to turn your beloved jeans into a pair of fins?

Yes, those historic jeans, which have taken part in your life, but that you just can't throw away, could also accompany you into the underwater world. But why jeans? Denim, the material from which jeans are made, is among the least sustainable materials on the entire earth: it requires many resources in terms of water, energy, and chemicals. The textile industry alone is responsible for about 20% of global water pollution and, every year, about half a million tons of microfibers end up in the sea, covering about 35% of all primary microplastics released into the environment. In addition, about 10% of CO2 emissions worldwide are linked to this sector (data from European Parliament). At the same time, denim is simple, durable, and, why not, beautiful. Jeans have made the history of entire generations and represent the icon of casual clothing, a must for any person.

At Vesvius we want to transform your jeans into a product that is sentimentally unique and technically valid. Vesvius launches the Vjeans line, the FIRST FIN IN THE WORLD in DENIM, for the recovery, transformation, and enhancement of end-of-life fabrics, allowing to drastic reduce the production of CO2 compared to the production of a virgin fabric. The important internal structure, common to the other Vesvius fins, is combined with denim and structural epoxy resins, giving life to a reliable product with an innovative design, ideal for those who practice snorkeling and freediving in shallow water. Send us your jeans and let Vesvius transform them into a truly advanced composite material!

Our task at Vesvius is to make innovation a lifestyle! Our Vjeans is a powerful, strong, and clear message to communicate to our customers our care for environmental protection and respect for nature. CO2 emissions and waste reduction, enhancement of resources and establishing in others a growing spirit of environmental protection, these are our values and in which Vesvius believes.
